The McConnaughhay Family - Annapolis Family Photographer

Let me just start off by saying - if you want to know the hottest day of the year, call me and ask when Carla has scheduled her photo session...because she picks it every year!! This year it was the calm before the storm literally. If you live on the east coast you will remember the one big storm night where everyone lost power for days. This was that very same day. It was so hot in fact, we did a mini shoot this day with all of their family in town and then continued on a less sweltering day...same outfits, different day, you'd never know...except I just told you :)

Carla & Dustin - thanks so much for another amazing family session by the water. It is so beautiful there, no matter what the temperature. Though next year I'm brining a bathing suit and Carson and I can get in the water and grab some crabbies and cool off when we are done! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Power Family - Baltimore Family & Child Photographer

I now know that whenever the Power family schedules a session with me, that the weather is going to be the absolute hottest it can be :) This day was a scorcher - but everyone pulled through with promises of Chick fil A milkshakes afterwards. At times I wish I was a kid so I could be bribed with yummy things for doing things I didn't really want to do! The session turned out to be a lot of fun even with the heat.

Natalie & Peter - Baltimore Engagement Photographer

Natalie and Peter are one driven couple - and super cute together too :) They met while both teaching in Baltimore City schools through Teach for America. I was very intrigued about their program and asked tons of questions...they were probably sick of me by the time we were done!!

It was a super hot day in Baltimore when we met to stroll through Patterson Park for their engagement session - but we all hung in there and got some awesome photos.

Natalie said she wanted the photos to be 'very Baltimore' - it certainly helped a lot that Peter has a roof top deck with a clear view of the Baltimore skyline (this is where he proposed too - how romantic!)! I hope I captured memories of Baltimore for this happy couple as they are already on the road out of town for their next adventure - law school and a PHD...whew!
