Q: How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
A: Wedding photographers typically book 12-18 months in advance. So once you have decided on your wedding date you will want to start looking for a photographer. The sooner you start the better chance you will have of getting your first choice of photographer. If we are booked on your date, we would love to give you references for other awesome photographers, so please ask!
Q: We want to book you! What do we do next?
A: Yeah!! We are so excited you chose us! If you haven’t already, please head on over to the contact page and send us a note. Once we hear from you we will confirm availability for your wedding date and get back in touch soon. Then we need to get a contract in place as well as a retainer to hold your wedding date on our calendar. Once your signed contract and retainer are received, you can mark this to-do off your list!
Q: How can I make sure I look amazing in my wedding photos?
A: Have fun! One of the main things we take pride in as photographers is how we make our clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. It is our job to have you look as natural as possible during your sessions. We do this in many different ways – the first of which is in your complimentary engagement session. It is so important for both you and your wedding photographer to have an engagement session so you can learn how each other work. You get to see our posing and shooting style and see how much fun it is to work with us! And we get to see how you and your partner engage with one another.
Q: Will you be in our faces with your camera throughout our entire wedding?
A: No!! We pride ourselves on capturing the moments that mean the most. Those candid moments when you are leaning your head on your husband’s chest during your first dance, the way your husband plays with the new ring on his finger, or the way your mom watches you dance with your dad. These photos capture not only memories, but feelings. These are the photos you will look back upon and remember exactly how you felt at that moment in time. In order for us to capture these photos that mean so much, we need to make you feel like we are not even there.
Q: How long will it take to receive our wedding photos?
A: Online galleries are uploaded within four to six weeks of your wedding date.
Q: Do you bring back-up equipment, just in case?
A: Yes, we are always over prepared.
Q: Do you have referrals for florists, DJs, videographers, and officiants?
A: Why yes, we do! We have had the pleasure of working with some super amazing vendors over the years and would love to pass along their information to you.
